Excluding the few years that I was in University, I have always been learning a language. French from a young age in school, Czech since the day I met my wife and bits and pieces of other languages, such as Spanish to help when travelling. For me communication is the most important part of building a relationship, be it personal or professional. So to be in the position to help others improve their language and make or develop those relationships is very special and language is the key.

When I am away from the classroom I enjoy a variety of hobbies, some that I do alone and others with family or friends. To stay active I enjoy most sports but in particular I like swimming and going for walks with my dogs. I enjoy watching my beloved Liverpool Football Club. I also like watching the matches at the stadium here in Zlín. I’ve also started to enjoy ice hockey since my arrival in the Czech Republic. My other hobbies include experimenting with cooking, reading, video games or playing board games or puzzles with my wife.
